Indoor emissions Certification IVM Chemicals srl controls and monitors the emissions.
In recent years, countries like France and Germany have carried out a detailed policy for a regulation of indoor emissions.
Above all, since January 1st, 2012 France has declarated mandatory for coating and varnishes manufacturers to identify the level of emissions of organic compounds, commonly called (VOC) on the labels of the products marketed.
The VOC consist in a number of substances (all containing carbon) in complex mixtures that evaporate easily at room temperature. There is a long list but the best known are the aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene and derivatives), chlorinated hydrocarbons (chloroform, chloro-benzene, etc.), alcohols (ethanol, butanol, etc.) and formaldehyde.
